magazine progress - contents page stage 1

Using simple tools and fonts for the contents page base, the blank squares are going to be filled with images i have collected that link with the contents and images i have taken, to make the contents more visual rather than text based.

I've used this interveiw as inspiration as it is whitty, and interesting aswell as gettig to the point meaning th ejournalist is able to keep the readers attention for longer, in a style which would be preferable for my magazine type/ genre.

My magazine in a paragraph -

My magazine is all about introducing the new music, and analysing the old, welcoming most age groups, but appealing to the younger generation of 16-25, with a humorous, ‘whatever’ side to it. The layout of vintage/ retro is to contrast with the new music the magazine focuses’ on brining a sense of irony and humour that will hopefully be noticed through out, as well as a fashionable, ‘in the know’ sense.

Moodboard; photoshoot - inspiration

The photoshoots/ covers above inspire me as a like with teh double page spreads the unusual, comical poses and use of props and editing create a young sense and is ideal for the musical/ retro genre i am aiming for. The photoshoots are inspiring for both cover and the styles of my double page spread.

The Double page spreads above inspire me as the photography is different, use of editing and querky props used. In my magazine i would prefer to use more image than article, a like to magazines such as 'Q' and 'NME'.
